Yup, another one...
The Shield writer John Hlavin is set to writeUnderworld 4. No word yet on the film's plot, though it will likely be in 3-D. Len Wiseman, director of the first two films, will produce. Kate Beckinsale, the star of the first two films, is unlikely to return, as is Rhona Mitra, star of the third film. No director is attached as of now. Unlike the third film, this one will not be a prequel.
I loved the first three but if you can't get the orig actors and the talk of making it 3D just screams turd.

Well I thought that the Underworld movies were pretty good anyways so I am glad to here of a fourth one.Plus anything involing anyone that had a hand in making The Shield in my book is awesome.The only think that might suck is no Kate Beckinsale :(

What this film needs is a jive-talking/juggling Werewolf and his rapping friend Frankenstein's monster. Oh and Parkour.

So yet another sequel without the original actors that will be 3D. Skeptical but since I loved all 3 Underworld Ill check it out before I give a verdict

Beckinsale was what worked well in this franchise. Without her, it all falls apart.

Weird how much this gets hate, but New Moon just broke Dark Knight's opening record and all New Moon is just a below substandard crappy version of Underworld.

The most important characters (Michael Sheen as Lucian and Bill Nighy as Viktor) have been in ALL THREE FILMS!!
There were several other smaller characters who appeared in the first AND third films (Kevin Grevioux as Raze and Stephen Mackintosh as Tannis).
They did a great storyline in the third film that pre-dated Beckinsale's Seline character so her not being in it was entirely appropriate.
Plus, Rhona Mitra's character DIED in the prequel so why the hell would she even be in any sequel, except as a flashback?!
It's silly to claim the original actors haven't returned for the sequel/prequel when, in the majority they have!
I do agree though that if they do a sequel that follows on chronologically from 2 then it would be good if Beckinsale & Speed reprised their roles, otherwise we need a storyline that doesn't involve them.
